MUFFINS FOR MITES Please join us in fellowship today as the Priscilla Guild sponsors “Muffins for Mites”. Your fellowship donations will go to support the continued mission work of the LWML.

MISSION OF HOPE MEAL St. Paul will be serving the noon meal at Mission of Hope on Wednesday, June 28th. Mission of Hope’s free meal program operates at 1700 B Ave NE in Cedar Rapids Monday through Friday from 12pm – 1pm. For more information please visit http://www.missionofhopecr.org. There is a signup sheet to help with the meal on the table in the Narthex (there are still a few open spots!). Contact Vickie Ozburn for more information.

WEDNESDAY EVENING PRAYER SERVICE/ORGAN MUSIC We will be having an evening prayer service with communion this Wednesday, June 28 at 6:30pm. At this service, we will be using organ music provided through CPH, rather than through Church Music Solutions as we usually do on Sundays. If you are interested in hearing it and sharing your thoughts with Pastor and congregational leadership, please make sure to attend this service.

MEN’S BREAKFAST will be next Saturday, July 1 at 8am at the church.

NEWSLETTER The July newsletter and calendar are available to view/print on the church website, http://www.splcmv.org. There are a few paper copies on the table in the Narthex.

PRISCILLA GUILD GARAGE SALE The Priscilla Guild will be having their annual garage sale and food booth on Saturday, August 5. Please place donated items in the designated rooms in the Sunday School wing. Parents/Adults: Please make sure children are accompanied by an adult if they are in the Sunday School wing prior to the garage sale in August. The Priscilla Guild would like to make sure all donated items remain in their designated rooms, and also some items may pose a safety risk to children. Thank you!

TRAVELING LUTHER As you travel around the local area, across the country, or abroad, bring Traveling Martin Luther with you.  Take photos of him on the journey anywhere the Good News of God’s free gift of grace can be shared.  We’ll post the pictures at church and on the St. Paul Facebook page.  You can pick up your Traveling Luther from the folder hanging on the divider wall to Sonya’s office.

YOUTH SUMMER FUNDRAISER The youth are asking congregation members to save their cans and bottles this summer.  There are two options for collection:

You can bring them to church (There is drop off area near the big freezer in the room off of the kitchen.)

If you have some that need to be picked up, you can let a youth know or text Sonya at 319-360-8521, and we will arrange a time to pick them up.  Thank you for your support!!

DIRECTORY UPDATE The church directory will be updated and distributed this week. There is a current copy of the directory on the table in the Narthex. Please take a moment to check your listing and make any changes necessary. Thanks!

Help Decorate for VBS
We will start decorating for VBS on Wednesday, July 5 at 1 p.m. We will finish decorating after fellowship on Sunday, July 9.

Paper Towel Rolls Needed
Please save your paper towel rolls for VBS.  We need a large quantity of them for one of our crafts.  There will be a box in the Sunday School office where you can place them.  We could also use a few TP rolls as well.

Plan to Join Us in the Heritage Days Parade
All members of the congregation are invited to participate in St. Paul’s entry in the Heritage Days parade in Mt. Vernon on Saturday, July 8.  We will have a float promoting VBS.  There are spots for riders, as well as a need for people to pass out candy and VBS invitations.  You can meet at the church at 9:30 to ride the float to the Cornell football field parking lot.  Or, join us there between 10 and 10:45. The parade starts at 11.

You may register your children (ages 3 through 5th grade in fall 2017) at our online VBS registration link on our church website home page: http://www.splcmv.org.  There are also some paper registration forms on the table in the Narthex.  Please place completed forms in my mailbox. Please register by TODAY if possible to help enable us to better plan for supplies.

Invite Your Friends and Family to VBS
