INPUT NEEDED FOR ELECTRONIC GIVING Due to some expressed interest, the Church Council invites you to consider the possible use of ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers from checking or savings accounts to submit tithes and offerings electronically. Electronic giving is convenient for you and provides consistency for our church. Transfers would be initiated by St. Paul Lutheran Church through Mount Vernon Bank & Trust up to two times per month with a minimum offering amount required. The service is free of charge to members and to St. Paul. Please give your input to a Council member today!

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF KITS The Priscilla Guild is collecting items for SCHOOL KITS for LWR. A donation basket is on the table by the entry doors in the Narthex. Also on the table are lists of items needed and guidelines about those items. There is an instruction sheet to make homemade backpacks as well. Contact Gloria Krob for more information.

THANK YOU Thank you also to all who helped in any way with the Sauerkraut Days food booth in Lisbon this weekend. Thanks to Willis Wulf and family for organizing the booth.

BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can….” Remember this repeating line from the children’s book The Little Engine That Could? Yesterday and still today the story lines and themes of popular books, songs, movies, or TV shows give us many opportunities to begin a conversation with a young person that will influence their life and faith development. “I think I can…” provides a great opening for sharing how many time “I can’t”, but, “All things are possible with God.” One episode of “The Bachelorette” provides plenty of opportunity to talk with your teen about how to choose a spouse and what’s really important in a marriage partner. Keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities to share your faith and God’s good design for life and marriage with those in your family this week!
