BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES There are two kinds of people in the world: those who wake up and say, “Good morning, Lord!” and those who wake up and say, “Good Lord, it’s morning!” Which are you? It is usually true that mood follows message. How we feel emotionally results from how we think about what is happening. The next time you are having a bad day, stop and check your thoughts. Listen to what you are telling yourself. Challenge and then replace negative, untrue self-statements with the truth. (Hint: look for truths from the author of life Himself in your Bible). LFS counselors are available to help you learn to change negative thought patterns, replacing them with truth. Lutheran Family Service (Quad Cities Regional Office 563-359-0696 or
