NEWS FROM THE FAMILY LIFE COORDINATOR

Young Families Bible Study – Dec. 2
We will be having a Bible study targeting young families (those with kids school-age and younger) on Sunday, December 2 from 8:15-9:15 (takes the place of regular adult Sunday School).  Parents are welcome to bring infants, and there is a nursery for children under 3.  We will continue exploring building Godly character in our children.

Family Advent Activity
St. Paul families and singles of all ages are invited to attend an Advent activity on Sunday, December 2 from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m.  We will be learning about Advent and making an Advent wreath for each household to take home and use throughout the season.  We will finish by watching the animated movie, “The Star and enjoying some popcorn and snacks.  Please sign up in the Narthex if you would like to come so we can have adequate supplies for everyone.

Christmas Program Update
The Sunday School children have begun practicing their songs for the Christmas program.  Check your mailboxes.  Each participating family has a CD with the music in their mailbox.  Please listen to it with your children to help familiarize them with the songs.  Parts have also been assigned and are in mailboxes.  Please let me (or Megan Johnson) know right away if you have any concerns about your child being able to learn his/her part.  Note that they do not have to be memorized. Please save Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9-11 a.m. for program practice.

Youth Musicians Wanted for Christmas Program
Children and youth have the opportunity to share their musical talents at the beginning of the Christmas program on Dec. 9.  They may play their instruments, share a piano piece, or sing a Christmas carol.  The youth may select their own music, though we ask that it be appropriate for a church setting.  There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex.  Talk to me if you have any questions.

Caroling – Dec. 16
Save the date for Christmas caroling on December 16.  We will plan to go following fellowship and meet back at the church for a soup luncheon.
