NEWS FROM THE FAMILY LIFE COORDINATOR
Children’s Christmas Program Today!
Caroling – Dec. 16
SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS Esau Forgives Jacob: Genesis 31:3; 32–33; Story Bible p. 78. “Esau Forgives Jacob” is the Bible story taught today in Sunday School. This exciting account teaches us how Jacob struggled against man and God for his birthright. The children will learn that Jesus struggled against sin and death to win our heavenly birthright. Talk to your children about sin and how it breaks families and relationships. Discuss, “How has sin severed our relationship with God? How did Jesus restore our relationship with God eternally? How does Jesus help us as God’s children to restore our broken human relationships?”
ACH OF TITHES & OFFERINGS Beginning January 1, 2019, members will be able to submit their tithes and offerings electronically using ACH transfers from checking or savings accounts. Electronic giving is convenient for you and provides consistency for our church. Transfers will be initiated by St Paul Lutheran Church through Mount Vernon Bank & Trust on the 15th and the 30th of the month with a $10 minimum offering amount required. The service is free of charge to members and to St Paul. Forms are in the back of the Narthex and can be returned to the Treasurer. Sign up today!
