Caroling Today
We will be Christmas caroling today following fellowship and a light lunch.  All are welcome to join us!  We will carol at Hallmark Care Center at 12:30 and the Lisbon Rehabilitation Center at 1:30 and will work in visits to shut-ins  before  and after  these   scheduled stops.  If you know of someone who would enjoy having us stop, please let Pastor know following worship.

Thank You!!
Thanks to everyone who helped with the Christmas program in ways big and small.  We appreciate your assistance with the planning, practicing, costumes, stage set-up, meal donations, serving, and clean up.  It was a wonderful program and shared the Gospel message to all who attended.

BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES “In despair I bowed my head, ‘There is no peace on earth,’ I said, ‘For hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men.’” During these challenging days, it’s helpful for older people who have lived through tough times to share a bit of perspective with young people. Use the piercing words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s Christmas song I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day along with his family’s tragic history during Civil War times as a teaching tool and conversation starter with someone younger than you. Find the story and a beautiful recording of the hymn at, then search for the hymn by name. And don’t forget to share the message from the last verse that’s just as true for us today as it was for Longfellow: “Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: ‘God is not dead, nor doth He sleep! The wrong shall fail, the right prevail with peace on earth, good will to men.’” A blessed and peaceful Christmas to you and your family from your friends at Lutheran Family Service!
